Mark Palmer

Mark Palmer graduated from the University of Western Sydney in 2006 with a Bachelor Applied Sciences in Podiatry. He has worked in private practices in Penrith, St. Marys, Dapto and Campbelltown. Mark is highly experienced in the complex care of diabetic and aged care foot disorders and is currently building his own sports based podiatry practice in Narellan, near his home. Diabetes is Australia’s fasted growing chronic disease. Problems with the feet relating to diabetes occur most commonly as a result of poor diabetic control and hyperglycaemia.  Nerves and blood vessels are affected by hyperglycaemia.  Added to this, reports predict that the proportion of Australians over 65 will grow to more than 20% of the population by 2050, up from just over 10% now.

Sports injuries and sports rehabilitation are areas dear to the heart of Mark.  This partly stems from his special interests in soccer players as he is an ex player and now coach.  Mark holds an FFA Senior Coaching Licence.

Mark has been married for seven years  and has 2 beautiful daughters, a 3 year old and a 10 month old.
